LA#066: Twitter..

What is this thing twitter...this virtual world where we're primed to show off at every waking moment.  I mean what ever happened to the days when you knew what was going on in an artist life from the actual music they made.  Not from 140 characters. Or facebook.  #FB being more of the family reunion feel while twitter portrays its' lighter blue skin as simply a free-for-all, friends fans family or foe alike. I'm not against it all - obviously I still have accounts with both - i just miss it.  The not knowing.  Isn't that apart of this huge machine we call imagination...don't you miss looking at an album and asking yourself...i wonder what the Prince could be doing right now (irony: we still do...but rest assured it's probably something regular like eating or strumming a new chord)...I miss it.  That's what makes us human, the not knowing you know...it means we still have something to learn, something that's not right in our faces begging to be disclosed...does twitter equal more sales?  maybe.  does it equal more fans?  maybe.  Does it feed our God-given natural fetish to know what's going on at all times! Definitely...

I'm not bashing TW or FB...it's genius...and I don't wanna go back to another decade...I'm just thinkin.
