DL: I Bombed New York!!!

OK, well maybe I didn't bomb New York but I felt like I did. It went by so fast. I had been up for 32 hours straight b/c of delayed flights and earlier that day my laptop was stolen. Yes, STO-LEN!!! Who ever has my laptop now, you won't win buddy. That's the 2nd laptop I've had stolen in the past year. It should slow me down, but it's only making me stronger. The tour is still on and St. Louis I'll be there on June 26th ready to go.

Anyhow, The Bitter End folks were nice and the folks who came out to see me I LOVE YOU!! But it was over before I even knew it! I didn't even get to do my last song ("Use What We Got"), and I got nervous and changed my set list around. Set List was: Alright,Shrink,RYG,Monique,Comin Into Town,Nothin' Like Friends. Though looking back it probably was almost 30 minutes (felt like I got a bit robbed still by 3-4 minutes), I felt like I disappointed those who came out. I wanted to give so much more and I felt so far away sitting behind this big grand piano (I'm not afraid to say I don't care for grand pianos b/c I don't consider myslef a piano player). Guess that's where my own full show comes into play. Starbucks NY anyone?

Washington, DC - BusBoys & Poets
Good show, small crowd, great venue. I'd highly recommend it (except they don't have monitors...always a let down. Maybe they'll have it fixed by the time I come back.) My good friend Keidra helped me get around, she was the girl who looked like my business manager at the show...she lived downtown so that was cool:)

Dallas - I Got Soul Conference 2008
Was nice, really. Linked by up with fellow soul music friends and met some new ones (pics below). But that's when my flights REALLY GOT JACKED (PLEASE ASK MY FULL NAME BEFORE BOOKING MY FLIGHT AND I WILL TELL YOU IT'S DARNELL LEVINE ANDERSON...Levine is my middle name for those who ever think about booking a flight for me...get it, got it, gooooood). Now that's even more proof why I prefer to drive everywhere...no flight delays, no extra baggage fees, no freakin blue van super shuttles, no no no! I'll take my '98 Malibu and some gas cards for the rest of the year.

After all that, I open my keyboard case and find this. United Airlines...calling you...

p.s. I want be updating the site for a few days cuz some jerk has a laptop with my face on it and is probably trying to figure out the password now. But I digress...the Jackson, TN show has been changed to July 18th and the Lexington, KY show has been postponed, new date coming soon!! So please take note guys. Holla.
