Hey guys, it's been a looooooong 6 months (when I started recording), and even longer 9 months (when I started writing)...but it still feels like it came too quick. And when I started I said to myself, all or nothin homie, all or nothin. Write what you mean and mean what you write. I wore my heart OFF my sleave trusting you would identify with me. Well, it's time. IT'S TIME I SAY! As of today I'm officially going to be an open book. So with that said...

First things first, let's be honest here...as of yesterday my first record (2006) sold 159 physical units online through CDBaby.com. About 500-700 on the road. When people used to ask, "I love your CD man, so how many units have you sold!?"...and I'm like "700 or so"...most responses are "That's it!?" or "Really???" or "Um...hey, well it's still a good record man!" I used to be embarrassed about it. Although almost nobody goes platinum with sales alone anymore, I was a bit heartbroken (my goals before my first record were to sell the first 1,000 in a week! WRONG! I was mostly ashamed b/c I was still broke, and had to pay back all these people who gave me money to make the album.

But the truth is this business is hard. WAY HARD! And I have to work hard for EVERY sell. But I'm no longer ashamed. So no fake sales numbers (though very tempting) and false hype, you be straight with me, I'll be straight with you...smile. And we'll ride to the top (wherever that is), together.
